  • All 16 school districts, IU13 and Lancaster Academy committed and are sending students on manufacturing tours and/or conducting in-class activities focused on manufacturing
  • Current estimate is 1,000 – 1,200 students attending manufacturing tours
  • Student tours being hosted by 28 manufacturing companies and growing daily.
  • The national MFG DAY organization, where more can be learned and resources for educators and tour hosts found, has its own website at
  • WE NEED YOUR HELP!: Financial support is needed to support costs, logistics, and marketing of the growing effort and the production of a virtual field trip to be made available to all schools.

This is a valuable resource for students and job seekers alike. The guide is geared to helping individuals prepare for continuing education and/or entering the workforce. Within the guide, the Occupational Data Bank contains employment, wage, and job outlook data for more than 250 occupations.  A brief interest assessment that aligns one’s personality to potential careers is also included to assist those who may be starting a job search or looking to change/advance their career.
