Ready2Work is the gateway to accessing further skill training with job placement and job retention as the ultimate goals.

Job seekers are assessed and receive training in essential workplace-readiness skills, including appearance, attendance, attitude, communication, planning and organizing, critical thinking, interpersonal/social skills, teamwork, time management and professionalism.

Assessment, training and certification tools include:

  • WIN™ is a basic skills assessment for reading, applied math, using information from charts andgraphs, as well as computer operation.

  • Alchemy™ is a soft skill training which emphasizes key skills necessary for successful employment.

  • WorkKeys® assessment leads to a National Career Readiness Credential, certified by ACT®, a national provider of testing services.  Some local employers require the National Career Readiness Credential in order to interview.  Other employers give priority in interviewing to those with the credential.

In addition to preparing job seekers for the workplace, Ready2Work ensures that these future employees understand the assets they bring to the job market.
